Tornado

Yes, we did! We had a tornado touch down in our neighborhood. I drive through this part (I call it the back end of the subdivision) often, because it gets me to the middle school and high school. In fact, the night it happened (back in August) Charles had gone to pick up Ben from some activity or other. It was pouring down torrential rain, of course. Luckily, Charles didn't go that way to the high school, because he would have driven right through the tornado.

Mostly the damage was to tree limbs--you could play connect-the-dots with the tree branches that were downed. One really lovely old tree had to be completely removed (you can see the stump in this photo, but that stump is now gone).

And one house lost their entire back fence, which you can't see because of the pile of branches that are in the way.
